In the early 1980s, a 22-year-old Israeli backpacker Yossi Ghinsberg (Daniel Radcliffe) and two friends, Marcus Stamn, a Swiss teacher and Kevin Gale, an American photographer, departed from the Bolivian city of La Paz for a trip that would become Adventure of a lifetime.
Karl Ruprechter is an Austrian expatriate leading the way to the uncharted Amazon. He even met with Ghinsberg and his friends just days before the journey began. Ruprechter even convince them by claiming to have been familiar with the Amazon region.
Unfortunately, their passionate journey turned into a nightmare. They are lost in the middle of the Amazon rain forest with most likely unable to return home.
Directed by Greg McLean, production head of The Belko Experiment, Jungle will premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival on August 3rd.
